UPWARD Mobility

At the start of his career Mr.Mobile lived in an apartment.

In a gathering someone remarked “Poor Fellow does not even a piece of land or a roof of his own”.

To be acceptable he bought a house.

But again he heard “poor does not have even a lawn.”

So he purchased a “one unit” house with lawn.

But was he ‘acceptable?’

He continued to hear “Poor Fellow does not have even ‘this or that’.

To be ‘acceptable’ he acquired all ‘this or that’.

One by one Mr. Mobile acquired all the status symbols of rich, successful., thereby gained entry into JET SET.

Costly Car

                                                 

Country Mansion

                                          

Twin Engine Jet

                       

Island Resort

                            

Luxury Yacht

                            

Thinking now that there was no more room for ‘UPWARD MOBILITY’, he should now be ‘Acceptable’.

But was he?

At an international gathering he was introduced to Lord Noble from England

(Whose genealogy was known for fifteen generations).

After introduction Lord Noble, said to Mr. Mobile,

“Pray, I do not seem to have heard about your family.

I AM SELF-MADE.! Boasted Mr. Mobile

Lord Noble uttered ‘Oh novo rich ! And moved away.

Mr. Mobile was nonplussed, and felt sorry for himself,

that despite having acquired everything that money could buy, still I am not ‘Acceptable’.    

Now what should he do?

He should count God’s blessings and be thankful to Him, and remember that in this very world more than 1 billion people live in poverty i.e. at less than US $ 1.20 per day.

Points to Ponder Everyone knows that everybody has to die yet how many of us give this eventuality a conscious thought? ________ A man hale and hearty full of life and vigor drops down and is pronounced ‘dead’. ________ A physician with all the skill at his command and gadgetry at his disposal helplessly watches his patient slip away.     What is the common factor in these two deaths? ________
